The Deming-Luna County Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to Deming, Luna County and Old West Country. You will find this southwest corner of New Mexico to be one of historic significance; an unspoiled atmosphere with an abundance of sunshine, friendly faces and year-round activities. In a high-desert setting with the Florida Mountains as a backdrop with an agricultural-productive influence, Deming's excellent climate and beauty makes it a delight to experience a visit to our area.

Steeped in history from the placement of the Silver Spike marking the country's second transcontinental railroad here to the outposts along the Butterfield Trail, the area was also important for its military influence over the last century in training military troops for World War I at Camp Copy and training bombardiers in World War II at the Deming Army Air Base.

A rockhounder's paradise, Deming is noted, too, for its Mimbreno Indian legacy, its four state parks, its outstanding museum, its year-round golf course, and its close proximity to the Gila National Forest and old Mexico. A great location to spend a day, a week or a retirement lifetime! Welcome to our County!
