Natural Gas
"9-2-2": Natural Gas User Rates
(A) Gas Use Rates:
(1) Residential:
Base (no usage) $10.00 per month
Incremental Usage $ 1.10/MMBtu
(2) Commercial and Industrial:
Base 1 (no usage) Users up to 4,000 units per year $18.00 per month
Base 2 (no usage) Users 4,001 units to 20,000 units per year $60.00 per month
Base 3 (no usage) Users over 20,000 units per year $300.00 per month
Incremental Usage - Up to 1,000 units per month $1.20/MMBtu
Incremental Usage - Greater than 1,000 units per month $1.10/MMBtu
Per year usage will be calculated on previous calendar year and adjusted for the January billing cycle. New mid year hook ups for commercial base rates will be established by the Public Works Director.
The City of Deming may, for large users of natural gas, negotiate the price of gas and enter into written contracts establishing gas rates for up to thirteen (13) months at a time. Natural gas users purchasing 200,000 cubic feet or more per month shall be considered “large users” for the purpose of this section.
